On behalf of myself and the entire SASE UMN team, I would like to welcome you to the University of Minnesota and the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers. My name is Han Yong Wunrow, and I am president of SASE UMN.To introduce myself, I was born in Seoul, South Korea, was adopted, and grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am a fourth year working for a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. I am also a big fan of spontaneous dancing and math jokes.
SASE UMN was established in 2011 to prepare Asian heritage scientists and engineers to become future leaders. Our chapter does this through bridging the gap between student and company, creating an inclusive environment for our members to connect with one another, providing opportunities for our members to build upon their technical skills, and offering opportunities for our members to give back to their communities.
Once again, welcome! SASE UMN will hopefully be one of the many supportive environments you will find at the University of Minnesota. We look forward to seeing you at our events!
Han Yong Wunrow, SASE UMN President
