SASE Jr. is an initiative created to help high school students better understand STEM fields and learn how to create their own individual impact through two discrete steps:
- Familiarize and interest students in available STEM opportunities and careers through speakers, workshops, sponsored initiatives/programs, and more.
- Position them for prolonged success through continued access to collegiate mentors, guidance, and hands-on, career-building STEM opportunities.
SASE Jr. chapters will work hand-in-hand with SASE UMN to host events for their members and to facilitate a mentorship program between collegiate and high-school students, which can also grow to include young professionals, graduate students, and medical students.
